Mars Whitnan is the solo project of Shawn Martin, a Canadian vocalist, songwriter, and producer behind Solar Red Music Group. Before shifting his focus to production, Shawn released several albums under his real name between 2006 and 2012, building his sound through years of independent recording. He later became the producer and songwriter behind Solar Red Music Group artists My Design Immortal, Emptiness In Everything, 4tun8, and Echofault. With Mars Whitnan, Shawn steps back up to the mic as lead vocalist for a for-fun album packed with silly songs, odd ideas, and a few serious moments. It is loose, personal, and intentionally not too serious: a creative playground built from years of making music his own way.
